Louisville Slugger Slowpitch Softball Bat Features - New for 2012
Louisville Slugger has brought their premier technology used in baseball and fastpitch softball to their new 2012 line of Z-1000 slowpitch softball bats. This state of the art technology features their patented iST handle design, and their upgraded composite grade known as LS-2X.
Louisville Slugger's iST joins the barrel and handle together and allows for maximum stiffness while still providing an excellent solid feel and massive sweet spot. The iST technology allows player to have a solid feel between the barrel and handle while still allowing for maximum performance even on inside hits.
The Swing1 inner Disc (S1iD)
Barrel Technology allows the barrel to flex to its maximum allowable performance level from SWING 1. This bat is Game Ready" from the time you take off the wrapper.
The two inner discs are positioned inside the barrel at the sweet spot to stop the barrel from flexing past the performance limit, giving players maximum allowable performance. Precise positioning of iD within the barrel also allows us to bring up the performance around the sweet spot which means you get a larger performing sweet spot, not just a better feeling one.
The LS-2X composite material has been designed to be thinner, higher strength, and has a ligth-weight graphite fiber design. The thinner walls allow for more layers increasing performance while still allowing for an increase in the durability of the composite weave.
