Disclaimer: As with any fit guide or sizing chart, there is a margin of error. This guide is designed to provide an accurate assessment of the needed size for each individual piece.
- Please note, the "fit" from one manufacturer to the next may differ
- Age is not always indicative of the correct size needed, but more times than not is accurate
- At times, sizes will overlap in the charts below. This can be due to the different manufacturers sizing. Be sure to size accordingly
- Generally, catcher's gear designed for Tee Ball, Jr Youth,
or Youth play are gender neutral as far as the fit is
concerned
How to Determine Catcher's Helmet Size:
- Place a measuring tape around your head, just above the ears where your hat would naturally rest
- Take the total circumference (distance around) in inches and reference the chart below
- This measurement will determine your "Fitted Hat Size" which is how catchers helmets are sized
- For example, if you measured 22 ¾", then your fitted hat size is 7 ¼"
- Each individual helmet's size range will be provided in
the Item Description
- Typically, there are two sizes of catchers helmets available:
- Youth (Small)
- Most Youth helmets are generally sized between: 6 1/8" - 7" (Individual sizes may vary)
- Adult (Large)
- Most Adult helmets are generally sized between: 7" - 7 3/4" (Individual sizes may vary)
